David is a classic car restorer by day, model designer by night, blending precision engineering with a passion for the miniature. He meticulously designs and crafts each model with an obsessive attention to detail, ensuring everything is as accurate as a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Whether it's scaling down a landmark or fine tuning the tiniest architectural features, David’s expertise brings our miniatures to life with stunning realism.

Emily, a graduate of Camberwell College of Arts with a degree in Illustration, brings our models to life with her keen eye for detail. She designs, packages, and creates scenic elements, ensuring every model captures the charm of the real world.

For Emily, observation is everything, from the weathered signs of a village shop to the tiniest sprigs of flora and fauna. It's these little details that make a scene feel real, turning our models into miniature stories waiting to be explored.

At Postcard Models, we turn memories into miniatures. Founded in 2016 and officially launched in 2018, we are a family run business in Kent with a passion for capturing the charm of everyday life in intricate detail.

Our team combines skills in engineering, illustration, and design to craft models from scratch using laser cutting, 3D printing, and casting. Inspired by British architecture, childhood nostalgia, and the world around us, we bring familiar places to life in miniature, blending craftsmanship with storytelling to create miniature magic.

Our Step-by-Step Model Development Process

  • Design – We create a detailed digital blueprint of your building using CAD software.

  • Deconstruct – The design is broken down into precise parts, ready for assembly or kit form.

  • Prototype & Test – A prototype is built to identify any necessary adjustments.

  • Refine & Perfect – We fine tune the design to ensure seamless construction.

  • Assemble & Decorate – The final model is assembled and carefully hand finished for detail.

  • Kit Development – The model is transformed into an easy-to-build kit, complete with step-by-step instructions and custom packaging.

Every stage is crafted with precision and passion to bring your miniature vision to life!

At Postcard Models, we offer a range of specialist services, from precision laser cutting to 3D scanning and printing, bringing your ideas to life in miniature form. If you have an idea or would like to enquire about a bespoke model, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
